In lieu of First Congregational Church’s benevolence commitment, the church provides
financial support to Birthright of Orange County, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Orange County
Citizens Welfare and St. Margaret’s Soup Kitchen.
The First Congregational Church is a caring and giving church. The congregation supports
missionaries with Atlantic Bridge, BCM International, Jews for Jesus, TEAM, World Venture,
World Vision and Wycliffe Bible Translators. In addition, First Congregational
Church contributes regularly to RECAP, Walter Hoving Home and Compassion International.
Established in 1785, The First Congregational Church is a temple first. Over the years, it
has evolved into a welcoming, caring and community based church. Extending beyond the
usual limits, the congregation continues to offer the church facility as a gathering place for One
Day at a Time A.A., Girl Scouts of America and the Social Club-Mental Health Association.
